Rates and Prices
We truly look forward to playing at your wedding, reception, anniversary, holiday party, celebration of life, or whatever your event will be. We promise to make it special! Whether we’re stationary or strolling, these are our prices for Orange and Los Angeles County events:
String Duo: $400 first hour + $200 each additional hour
(violin and cello; or Cello and guitar)
String Trio: $600 first hour + $300 each additional hour
(2 violins and cello)
String Quartet: $750 first hour + $400 each additional hour
(2 violins, viola, and cello)
Country Band, Italian Band, Irish Band, Marching Band, or any other arrangement: Please ask – call AFG Music at (949) 642-1686 and ask for Will, or e-mail us at afredafg@aol.com.
We have played and do play at every major venue, and most of the minor ones, in Orange and Los Angeles Counties. Wherever your wedding, reception, or event is, we’ve probably played there and know how to make it work best for you.
We also play in San Diego, Palm Springs, and other areas, but there is a modest extra charge for travel. Please ask – call AFG Music at (949) 642-1686 and ask for Will, or e-mail us at afredafg@aol.com. Give us your details (place, date, and time), and your budget, and let’s see what we can do to put the special touch of live music into your event.
Please book well in advance to make sure we’re available. But do not hesitate to call on short notice, either – if we can do it, we will. IMPORTANT: Your event is not booked until you have read and signed our contract, and we’ve received a 50% deposit.
Other Terms:
“Performers” below means all musicians provided by Fred’s String Band/AFG Music. “Client” means person or organization buying Performers’ services, and their agents, event planners, etc.
The performers will arrive at least 30 mins. before contracted starting time for setup and coordination with event planner/master of ceremonies.
The performers will be dressed as agreed upon in advance. This may be black tie/semi formal, casually elegant, or other attire.
Client will provide parking at no charge for the performers, and will provide easy access to performance site.
Client will provide chairs without arms for Performers, and adequate space and shade for Performers and their instruments. For shade, canopy, umbrella, or other shaded area as agreed upon by Performers and Client is acceptable.
If Performers are asked by Client to continue performing beyond the contracted time, they may do so at their sole discretion. If Performers agree, they will do so at the rate of $100 per musician per hour.
Performers are fully insured with a $1 million business liability policy.
Weather conditions may interfere with outdoor performances, and force Performers to perform indoors exclusively. This decision is at the sole discretion of performers.
Any agreement between Client and Performers is governed by the laws of the County of Orange, State of California, and disputes will be adjudicated by the Superior Court of California.
Under California law, Performers understand and agree that Client has 3 days after signing Performers’ contract and paying a 50% deposit to decide not to proceed. If Client does so within 3 days, their deposit will be fully refunded. Otherwise, Client’s deposit is generally non-refundable.
